Superyacht Shipyard Charitable Eco Mission
July 29th, 2023 - Superyacht Shipyard, a luxury submarine and superyacht shipbuilding company, announced today that it will donate an undisclosed percentage of its sales to maritime focused charities that support whale conservation and coral reef restoration. Between 30 to 40 percent of the world’s coral reef has been destroyed due to invasive species, pollution, changing water temperatures, and careless tourism. In addition to coral reef destruction, whales have been dying off at an alarming rate due to changing food habits, being stranded, and climate change. The initiative is part of the Superyacht Shipyard’s deep commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The company believes that its customers, who enjoy exploring the vast oceans and seas, also share the same sincere passion for protecting the world’s marine life and ecosystems. By supporting maritime focused charities that work to save the whales and restore the coral reefs, the company hopes to make a positive and long lasting impact on the planet and its inhabitants. The Managing Director of Superyacht Shipyard, Kambiz Mostofizadeh, said "Protecting the whales and preserving and restoring coral reef are two causes that Superyacht Shipyard deeply believes in. At least 25% of all marine life will come in contact with coral reef and it is important to protect their natural habitat and preserve them for future generations. We are also proud to take steps to preserve whales for future generations. Whales are a vital part of marine life and deserve our wholehearted preservation efforts. We are very proud to partner with reputable maritime focused charities that share our vision and values, and we invite our customers as well as stakeholders to join us in this noble endeavor."
